The World War II Memorial
Our Wisconsin veterans
Our first stop was the most important: the veterans got to visit their World War II Memorial. All the vets posed for a group photo. Some of us went to see the Wisconsin pillar, too. There are 56 pillars -- one for each U.S. state and territory plus the District of Columbia that united in a common cause during the war.
Our friends Joe and Carol Dorsey, who live in the area, met us at the memorial grounds. Joe took several great pictures which I've posted on these pages.
